WOLVES

Ye may be able to make out the wolf in the centre of the picture above. (I'll never get a job as a photogapher with National Geographic)
"One of the best ways to spot wolves is to be completely surrounded by them"
Quote of the day goes to Markus.
What an extraordinary day. After leaving our plush-plush €14 a room hotel (Its reception area may have had a chandelier that spanned 3 floors, but our bathroom has sporadic running water), we continued south east out of Darlac. Today we were invited into a beautifully designed marquees for a wedding ceremony, we saw 2 vultures fight over a small animal carcass, Markus helped a monk repair a puncture on his motorbike while the monks' pet deer grazed nearby. When the puncture was fixed the monk tied the deer under his garments and continued down the road on his motorbike. Best of all, today we saw 5 wolves (including one wolf cub) a fox and 2 more deer. Getting within 200M of a wolf in its natural environment was truly an amazing experience. The area was so full of wildlife that we decided to camp up for the night. And now as I write this, I can hear the wolves howling in the distance.
